The Chamber of Conscience is THE first progressive business association. We were founded in Santa Clarita in 2018. Our goal is to unify and amplify the voices and influence of progressive minded business owners and professionals to affect positive change in our local communities. To work with and support local Progressive clubs, groups & candidates to further our values in our communities. To build a friendly, organic way to help local progressive businesses grow and succeed. To unify businesses of conscience in support of:
• Local "mom & pop" micro-businesses
• Local environmental protections
• Our LGBT community
• Our undocumented neighbors and refugees
• BLM
• Women's and minority rights
• Separation of church and state
• Journalists and a free press
• Our Jewish, Muslim and atheist neighbors
• Employment rights
• Unions
• Closing income and wealth disparities
• Homeless rights
• Peace and anti-militarism
• The rights of people with disabilities
• Healthcare for all (single payer)
• Art, comedy and satire
• Science and truth in politics
Membership Requirements:
A) Registered Democrat, Green or P&F.
OR
B) Registered NPP with track record of progressive consciousness or activism,
AND
C) Must own a business, hold a professional license or certification, or be a professional artist, etc. (or by special exception of the board),
OR
D) Progressive elected officials, candidates or organizations can request Listed Membership status during their tenure/run;
AND
E) Annual Membership dues:
• 2021 Shutdown hardship: $30.
• Attendee Member: $100.
• Listed Member: $200.
• Voting Member: $300. [Limited Time Offer: $100 1st year Voting Member through 2021.]
